Evidence Supporting Marijuana Intake Should Be Abolished
It has been an ever ending discussion on if cannabis use should be legalized or not. There are few states that have already allowed people to take cannabis freely. On the other hand, some countries still stand by the truth that the drug is harmful just like all the other hard drugs. The debate on which among the two arguments is right is endless. Many disadvantages have been proved to be found in the cannabis plant.
There are many reasons why marijuana should not be legalized, Marijuana is classified with hard drugs such as heroin. Despite all the medical research that have been conducted on marijuana that claims that marijuana has immense health benefits. Cannabis has been found not to have any implications on one’s health. The other negative result of cannabis is that they make people climb up the ladder and start taking hard drugs. The reason is that cannabis is sold in joints that sell other drugs too. The drugs work the same. An aspect that makes some countries refuse to accept the drug because it is taken through smoking. Taking in too much smoke for a long time is a health hazard. Taking marijuana for a long time can cause diseases like too much soot on the chest.
It is not easy to stop taking cannabis even when one is willing to stop. Any drug that causes addiction is not safe. Addiction makes people not able to live without the drug. Cannabis use can cause mental health disorders. The drug has THC components that make people high. Intake of THC components for an extended time can lead to mental conditions such as paranoia. It can also lead to other disorders such as paranoia. Studies show that cannabis is usually mainly taken by people that are not well behaved. The fact that people that are planning crimes mostly use cannabis is clear evidence that the drug is good for the brain. The fact is that the drug gives these criminals the guts and the strength to engage in these activities. The last thing why cannabis should not be taken is because it is against the law. The state cannot make something good to be illegal. Putting in mind that the government has to forgo such huge taxes. All these arguments support that indeed cannabis is harmful to the body. As a result the government is taking measures that to ensure that there are no joints that sell cannabis
All the above are arguments that support consumption of cannabis as illegal . These contrary to the reasons that have made other countries to legalize the use of the drug. The issue about cannabis remains controversial and does not have a concrete answer.
